Petr Mrazek Has Buddy The Elf On His Goalie Mask [PHOTOS]

It's been a dour start to the season for Petr Mrazek, but that hasn't dampened his Christmas spirit.

The Czech netminder, who will be back in goal for Saturday's game against the Ducks, is celebrating the holiday season with a specially-painted helmet that features Will Ferrell in the movie "Elf."

Jimmy Howard is getting into the spirit too, rocking a gingerbread-colored mask with icing-like lettering. Both goalies unveiled their masks after practice on Friday morning.

As far as wish lists go, Mrazek might be hoping for a Christmas turnaround. The 24-year-old has struggled through the first two months of the season, posting a .905 save percentage and a 2.92 goals against average while relinquishing the starter's job to Jimmy Howard.

Saturday night's contest will mark Mrazek's first start in the past four games.
