Pelicans Will Face Kings In NBA Preseason At Rupp Arena

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Tickets go on public sale Friday morning for the Oct. 17 NBA preseason game at Rupp Arena between the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings, both of which feature former Kentucky stars.

All-Star Anthony Davis will lead the Pelicans against the Kings and fellow All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, veteran guard Rajon Rondo and 7-foot rookie Willie Cauley-Stein, an All-American who was selected No. 6 overall in last month's NBA draft.

The game follows Big Blue Madness the day before, which kicks off the season for Kentucky's men's and women's squads.

Davis and the Pelicans will be playing their second Rupp NBA preseason game in three years. New Orleans defeated the Washington Wizards and John Wall there in October 2013.

Tickets range from $10 to $250 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com.
