Pedestrian Struck By Two Different Cars On 8 Mile Road

(WWJ) A 55-year-old man is dead after being hit by two separate cars Thursday night in Royal Oak Township.

Michigan State Police say the victim was crossing the westbound lanes of 8 Mile from the parking lot of the Royal Inn between Coolidge and Wyoming around 11 p.m. when he was hit.

Both drivers did stop at the scene of the crash.

Police say the man was not using the crosswalk and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
