Pedestrian Hit By SUV On Pontiac Trail

WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) - A man is reported in critical condition after he was hit by an SUV.

It happened at around 7:30 a.m., police say, as the man was walking on Pontiac Trail, just West of Old Orchard Lake Road. That's on the border of Orchard Village and West Bloomfield, just west of Old Orchard Lake.

The man was rushed to McLaren Hospital for treatment.

No details about the victim were immediately released.

The road is shut down between Old Orchard Trail and Halsted for an accident investigation and remained closed as of 9 a.m.
