Patrick Beilein Leaves W.Va. Wesleyan For Jazz

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia Wesleyan says men's basketball coach Patrick Beilein has accepted a position with the NBA's Utah Jazz.

The Division II school where Beilein has coached for two seasons says Beilein will serve in the role of player development and video coordinator under new Jazz coach Quin Snyder.

Beilein coached West Virginia Wesleyan to a 22-9 record last season after going 12-15 in his first season in 2012-13.

Beilein's father, John, is the head coach at Michigan. He played under John Beilein at West Virginia from 2003 to 2006.
