With the beautiful weather South Florida has throughout the year, this location is home to many nightclubs that have outdoor patios, are right on the sandy beaches and are located near others. Party seekers can dance in the sand, sip margaritas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and go club hopping without worrying about the cold weather.

There are many different nightclubs in the Miami area, making it possible to party from the time of your arrival to when you pack up and head back home. Many of the locals know where the party is, which means as a visitor you may have to ask around to see which the best spot is for that night. Though the party hot spots move from club to club on a daily basis, there are a few go-to and must-visit night clubs while in Miami. Some of these must-visit clubs include:

In addition to being home to some of the hottest nightclubs in the country, Miami is also where many fun and exciting festivals are held. Many of these festivals feature food, drinking and chart-topping recording artists. These festivals are so exciting that many travelers make their vacation plans around festivals held in the Miami area.

Accommodations

It is possible to visit Miami no matter what your travel budget is. This area of South Florida is home to accommodations in all price ranges. You will find everything from budget hotels to boutique hotels; from luxury resorts to bed and breakfasts. Some of the more popular places to stay when in Miami include:

Transportation

Depending upon where you are staying, it is possible to walk everywhere you need to go. Those staying in the South Beach area will have access to walk along Collins Avenue, Washington Avenue and Ocean Drive. Along those roads you will find a variety of restaurants, nightclubs, shops and other entertainment venues. If walking is not your thing, you can rent a car upon your arrival or take a taxi everywhere you go. Or, if you choose, there is a self-service bike system in Miami with 100 Citibike stations where you can rent and return bicycles.

Metrobus service is available seven days a week throughout most areas of Miami. The bus system follows a circuit of stops that will take you close to all of the action throughout the city. Buses will continually run from 7:45 a.m. until 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Sunday. Visitors can pay for each ride or save money by purchasing the Traveler Passport.

Attire

Before heading out to a local nightclub or party, it is important to understand the venue's dress code. Some Miami clubs and restaurants have a specific dress code. A few are strict, while others just require you have on a clean shirt and tie. Call ahead to the nightclub or ask your hotel's concierge desk for details on dress codes.

Most dress codes for nightclubs require men wear dress shoes, slacks and a dress shirt. Some clubs do allow guests to wear a clean pair of jeans, but this is judged on a case-by-case basis. It might be best to not risk it and wear a nice pair of slacks. For women, overdressing is a good thing. A party dress with glitzy accessories is the perfect attire.
