Part Of Human Jawbone Found On Lake Michigan Beach

GANGES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say part of a human jawbone has been found along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Allegan County.

The Holland Sentinel and The Grand Rapids Press report that state police say the discovery was made Aug. 1 in Ganges Township by a runner on the beach near Pier Cove.

Trooper Andrew Foster says there's no connection between the bone and any missing person at this time.

The bone had three teeth attached and two had fillings. It was being sent to the Michigan State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
