Parade Company To Reveal New Thanksgiving Parade Float

DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - The public can attend today's reveal by The Parade Company's of the Lear Corporation's float which will lead America's Thanksgiving Parade.

Tony Michaels, President and CEO of The Parade Company, will be joined by Matt Simoncini, President, CEO and Director of Lear Corporation and Eric Larson, Chairman of the Michigan Thanksgiving Parade Foundation, will unveil the newest addition to the parade at 4:30 p.m. today in front of the Spirit of Detroit.

In addition to showing off the newest float, parade organizers hope to make the event a trending topic across the country by using the hashtag #LearSpirit.

America's Thanksgiving Parade presented by Art Van steps off at 8:50 a.m. at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Kirby Street, adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts in Midtown, and end at Congress Street just south of Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit.

Despite M-1 construction, the parade route will not be altered, officials have stated.
