Palmer Out For Season, Says He 'Cried Like A Baby'

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Carson Palmer has confirmed that he is out for the season after tearing an ACL in Sunday's win over St. Louis.

The injury comes with Palmer playing some of the best football of his career on an Arizona Cardinals team that at 8-1 has the best record in the NFL.

He signed a three-year contract extension on Friday.

Palmer says he is not an emotional person but "cried like a baby" Sunday night.

The 34-year-old quarterback, speaking to reporters on Monday, vowed that he would play football again and hoped it would be for the Cardinals.

Coach Bruce Arians says Palmer should be back by late June or July.
