Pac-Man Is Real And Ready To Attack [VIDEO]

The first trailer for the movie "Pixels" came out this week. It is Adam Sandler's latest project and it looks like it has potential. The concept is that aliens are invading earth, but in the form of classic 80's video game characters. Just watching a giant Pac- Man hungrily roam the streets of a big city and eat people and Donkey Kong toss massive barrels at Kevin James is worth the price of admission. But the dialog is clunky and the novelty of seeing all of your favorite 8-bit friends might wear off relatively quickly if the movie sucks.

The fact that the project stars Adam Sandler also makes me nervous. His track record has been pretty shaky over the last few years (I am looking at you, "Jack and Jill"). In the good news category is the fact that the film is directed by Chris Columbus. He has had success with multiple "Harry Potter" movies, "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Home Alone".

"Pixels" opens nationwide on July 24, 2015.
