Overnight Shooting In Roseville Leaves 2 Injured, Including 1 Teen

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Roseville police are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight in the parking lot of the Athena banquet Hall in Roseville.

Deputy Chief Don Glandon tells WWJ they got a 911 call shortly after eight o'clock Sunday night, of gunfire in the parking lot.

"A vehicle pulled into the lot someone inside the vehicle discharged rounds, striking our two victims who were outside at the time, then drove off," he said.

The two people who were shot, include a 15-year old that was shot in the foot.

"One individual that had suffered a wound to his foot - that individual is a juvenile - was later treated and released at an area hospital," said Glandon. "Later at an investigation we were informed that an individual had an apparent gunshot wound had been driven to a local hospital."

Glandon says the suspect may have escaped in a red Ford Taurus, but they're still gathering statements from witnesses. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
