Person of interest in custody after two dead in quadruple shooting at Detroit gas station
Two people have died and two others are injured after a shooting at a gas station early Monday in Detroit.
The shooting happened about 4 a.m. inside the Marathon gas station at 3344 Puritan Avenue, Detroit police said, when a man and three women were shot. A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed early Monday evening that a second victim has died. Authorities have not identified the age of the second victim.
In an update on Tuesday, DPD says a person of interest was taken into custody. Police did not provide any other details about the individual.
Police believe this is an isolated incident and that the shooter acted alone.
