One Detroit Center Briefly Evacuated After Fire Alarm On 42nd Floor

DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities say the "all-clear" has been given at a downtown Detroit high-rise that was evacuated after a fire alarm was reported on the 42nd floor.

The fire alarm started going off after 7 a.m. Tuesday at the One Detroit Center building, located along Woodward Avenue between Congress and Larned streets.

Everyone was evacuated from the building as fire crews responded to the scene. As it turns out, it was just as false alarm, according to officials.

No fire took place, and no injuries were reported.
