Officials To Announce Details Of Detroit Investment Event

DETROIT (AP) — Officials are expected to release details of an event designed to bring investment and reinvestment into Detroit.

Mayor Mike Duggan is listed among those to speak Monday morning at the Museum of Contemporary Art about the third annual Detroit Homecoming conference.

The conference is planned for Sept. 14-16. The event has been used to convince professionals with Detroit ties about the benefits of taking part in the city's revitalization.

Officials say the first two conferences resulted in more than $260 million in pledged investments.

Ward & Fifth consulting founder and Chief Executive Shawn Ward is expected to make a major announcement Monday involving his commitment to Detroit.
