Officials Identify Body Found In Huron River

ANN ARBOR(WWJ/AP) - Authorities have identified a body found in the Huron River near Ann Arbor.

The body of 55-year-old Richard Lee Turner, of Ypsilanti Township, was found Monday afternoon in Ann Arbor Township.

Investigators say Turner was earlier seen walking in the area of the Gallup Park Pathway near the Dixboro Dam. A bystander later spotted a body in the water and called police.

Sheriff's spokesman Derrick Jackson says the body had no visible signs of trauma. A cause of death will be determined by the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's Office.

An investigation is ongoing.
