DETROIT (WWJ) - With the deadline for getting covered under Obamacare just a month away, a Metro Detroit health system is gearing up to host its next big sign-up fair.

The DMC Path to Health Campaign is hosting its second community health care insurance enrollment event on Saturday.

DMC Chief Administration Officer Conrad Mallet told WWJ Health Reporter Sean Lee that attendees can also get free health screenings and social services help.

"We have 17 different opportunities for people to come in and get information about essential services that they're eligible for here in the city of Detroit," Mallet said.

Mallet said the event is family friendly, with a kids' zone on site.

"So if you feel like you want to bring your children with you, they are going to be well supervised and occupied while you are going through the various vendor stops to see what you might like to take advantage of," he said.

Admission is free.

The enrollment event takes place Saturday, March 1, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Martin Luther King High School at 3200 E Lafayette St. in Detroit. If you can't make it,
