Obama: Never Saw Anything Like Lions-Cowboys Playoff Call

WAYNE, Mich. (AP) — President Barack Obama says he feels the pain of Detroit Lions fans after the team's playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys in which an official's call played a key role.

Obama told workers Wednesday at Ford Motor Co.'s Michigan Assembly plant in Wayne that "even a Bears fan has to admit that that was a little suspect."

The Lions led 20-17 in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game when the call was made. The reversal helped Dallas come from behind to win 24-20.

The president says he's never seen "anything like that before."

He spoke one day after telling The Detroit News that he'd be "pretty aggravated" if he were a Lions fan.

Obama then spoke about Detroit's emergence from bankruptcy and the auto recovery, saying "Detroit always comes back."
