Northville Township Man Charged After 'Large Volume' Of Child Porn Seized
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 53-year-old Northville Township man is behind bars facing multiple charges in connection with a child porn bust.
Northville police say that, over the course of the investigation — in partnership with the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) on — "a large volume" of suspected child sexually abusive material was seized from James Ciccarelli.
This items included both images and videos.
The charges are three counts of child sexually abusive activity — distributing or promoting (7 year felony), three counts of using the computer or internet to communicate with another to commit a crime (10 year felony), three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material (4 year felony) and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime (10 year felony).
A not guilty plea was entered on Ciccarelli's behalf at an arraignment Tuesday in 35th District Court in Plymouth. Bond was set at $100,000/10 percent.
If released on bond, Ciccarelli was ordered not to access the Internet or have any contact with children. He also must wear a GPS tether.
