CBS DETROIT - The NFL has released the offseason workout dates for all teams. For the Detroit Lions, the first day of the offseason program will be April 20. Organized team practice activities (OTAs) will take place May 26-28, June 2-4 and June 8-11. The mandatory minicamp is scheduled for June 16-18.

The voluntary nine-week offseason program consists of three phases.

During the first two weeks, activity is limited to strength work, conditioning and rehab.

Over the next three weeks, on-field team workouts can include individual player instruction and drills as well as team practice, but team offense versus team defense drills are prohibited. Live contact is not allowed.

The final four weeks of the offseason program include OTAs, and teams can conduct 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. Live contact is still prohibited.
