WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP (AP) -- A museum in suburban Detroit is marking the 40th anniversary of a tornado that killed one person, injured dozens and caused millions of dollars in damage.

The Orchard Lake Museum on Sunday is looking back on the tornado with a "West Bloomfield Tornado 40th Anniversary" exhibition.

The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports visitors can learn about the March 20, 1976 tornado, which had winds of around 200 mph.

The anniversary event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free.
