Murder-Suicide Suspected In Deaths Of Couple Found By Exchange Student Living In Home

ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say murder-suicide is suspected in the deaths of a couple at their suburban Detroit home.

The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports  57-year-old Mark Renusch and 56-year-old Maria-Aurora Renusch were found dead of gunshot wounds inside the home Friday in Oakland County's Orion Township after deputies were sent for a welfare check.

Authorities say a 17-year-old Japanese exchange student who lived at the home found the couple dead. She told investigators she heard the couple arguing Thursday night.

The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office says Mark Renusch's death was ruled a suicide and Maria-Aurora Renusch's death was ruled a homicide.
