Multi-Vehicle Accident Causes Gridlock On M-10 At Telegraph Road

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - A lot of people were late for work, but traffic is now flowing again along I-696 and M-10 in Southfield.

So far only one injury has been confirmed in chain-reaction crash, smack in the middle of Wednesday's morning commute, on the northbound Lodge freeway before Telegraph Road in front of the Congregation Shaare Zedek temple.

Reporting from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell said there appeared to be a total of five vehicle involved — including one car that was badly damaged, three additional cars and small refrigerator truck.

Before noon, Campbell said, wrecker crews had consolidated the accident toward the shoulder. All lanes reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
