MSU's Tom Izzo: 'It's Going To Be The Wild, Wild West'

EAST LANSING (WWJ) - The Michigan State Spartans are on their way to the Final Four.

The team and head coach Tom Izzo boarded a bus outside of the Breslin Center and are headed to Indianapolis Wednesday night.

Izzo told WWJ's Jon Hewett the team just finished two good days of practice before hitting the road 'on a mission.'

"We've done it the way you've got to do it to win deep in this tournament, we've been very good defensively and I think that's a big key - we are just going to let it rip. It's going to be the wild, wild West. We are just going to go at it and see what happens," said Izzo.

Izzo added that at this time of year it's not who the best team is but who is playing the best ... possibly enjoying the role of underdog in the tournament.

MSU comes into the Final Four as a seven seed up against number one Duke.

Tip-off set for 6:09 pm on Saturday.
