Motorist Charged In Traffic Accident That Killed Boy, 4

GREENVILLE, Mich. (AP) - A motorist has been charged in connection with a crash that killed a 4-year-old western Michigan boy.

The Grand Rapids Press reports Thursday that 69-year-old Susan Rieckman faces an Oct. 30 arraignment on one count of operating a motor vehicle while license suspended causing death.

The charge was authorized Wednesday against Rieckman, of Cedar Springs, north of Grand Rapids.

Talos Bills was struck by a pickup truck Sept. 14 while crossing a road on his scooter in downtown Greenville, northeast of Grand Rapids. His teenage cousin also was hit and suffered minor injuries. They were returning home after buying doughnuts at a gas station.

Police have said the pickup driver's license was medically suspended.

The Associated Press was unable Thursday to find a telephone listing for Rieckman.
