Motorcycle Clubhouse Leveled In Overnight Explosion
DETROIT (WWJ) - A west side Detroit neighborhood was rattled by an overnight explosion that leveled a motorcycle clubhouse.
The explosion happened around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Dexter Avenue and Webb Street. The building housed the Detroit chapter of the Street Royalty Motorcycle Club -- a national organization "dedicated to fun," according to their webpage.

The building collapsed during the explosion, which sent debris flying into the parking lot of a neighboring auto shop. Several cars in the lot were damaged.
No injuries were reported.
At this point authorities aren't sure what happened, but a natural gas leak is suspected.
Arson investigators returned to the scene at daylight Wednesday.

Jackie Totten, who lives up the street, couldn't believe the building was reduced to a pile of rubble. She said the motorcycle club is very welcome in the community.
"It was just standing in one piece," Totten told WWJ's Mike Campbell. "You know, most people would be like 'Oh God, a motorcycle club in the neighborhood.' But it was one that you wouldn't mind having because they weren't rowdy, they didn't block off the street of anything. It was really nice, and if I'm not mistaken they even had a back to school thing. So it was really, really nice having them here but -- it's just a shocker."
