Mother, Son Get Probation After Dozens Of Cats Seized

MARION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A Livingston County mother and her adult son have received probation for not providing adequate care to more than 75 cats on their property.

The Livingston Daily Press & Argus of Howell reports Wednesday that 72-year-old Sharon Bath was sentenced Tuesday to two years' probation and Kevin Roberts to five years' probation.

They had faced animal cruelty charges.

The newspaper reports that animal control officers removed about 77 cats in August from the Marion Township property, about 45 miles northwest of Detroit. Bath and Roberts were ordered to trap any remaining feral cats.
