Mother Arrested After Threatening To 'Blow Up' Wayne County Community College

DETROIT (AP) - A woman accused of making verbal threats at the Wayne County Community College District campus in downtown Detroit has been arrested.

The county sheriff's department says administration officials called campus security officers Friday after hearing the woman use an expletive for the school and say she would "blow" it "up."

The woman reportedly became angry when her son was told to return Monday as she tried to enroll him in classes.

Sheriff's deputies found the woman after a short search.

A .25-caliber handgun was in her purse. The gun had been reported in San Jose, California, as being stolen.

The woman is being held and could face terrorist threat and gun charges.
