More Than 100 Guns, Knives Found At Home Amid Break-In Probe

CENTRAL LAKE TWP., Mich. (AP) - Authorities say they seized more than 100 guns and knives, 15 flat-screen televisions and other stolen property from a home in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula where stolen goods were being traded for drugs.

A break in the case came Thursday after police arrested a burglary suspect following a traffic stop. Authorities say he had stolen guns, coin-filled jars and household items. He told investigators he traded stolen property for drugs at a home in Antrim County's Central Lake Township.

Authorities later went to the home and arrested a 33-year-old man after using tear gas to get him to surrender.

A search turned up marijuana and tens of thousands of dollars in stolen property, including chain saws, snowmobile gear, scuba equipment, weed trimmers and other items.
