Monday Is Last Day To Register To Vote For November Election

DETROIT (WWJ) - If you're planning to vote in the November election, the last day has arrived to register to vote. Anyone who's 60 or older can vote absentee. Those physically unable to get to the polls on their own or who meet certain other criteria also can vote by absentee.

Just a reminder: Monday (October 6) is the deadline to sign up to register to vote and be able to cast a ballot next month.

To register to vote, you must be all of the following:

  • A U.S. citizen
  • At least 18 years old by Election Day
  • A resident of Michigan
  • A resident of the city or township where you are applying to register to vote
