Molotov Cocktail Might Be Cause Of Detroit House Fire; 'I'm Tired Of Living Like This' Says Resident

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Molotov cocktail thrown into a house might be the cause of a fire on Detroit's east side.

The fire took off early Thursday morning at a home in the 20000 block of Gallagher, in a neighborhood near 8 Mile and Ryan roads.

A woman who lives at the home -- who first said her name was Tasha, then Alicia -- was sitting on the front porch when WWJ's Mike Campbell arrived on the scene. She said she thinks one of her neighbors was actually the target.

"I'm tired of living like this. I don't do no wrong to nobody. I haven't. I've been trying to live right and I'm talking about right, going to church, all of this," she said.

Fire damage to the home appears to be minor. No injuries were reported.

Police say they're still trying to sort things out.

A cause of the fire remains under investigation.
