11-Year-Old Detroit Runaway Found Safe
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say an 11-year-old boy who ran away from his west side Detroit home is home safe.
Timothy James Washington III left his family's house in the 14100 block of Abington, near Schoolcraft Avenue and the Southfield Freeway at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Washington's mother told police that the boy took off without her permission after being placed on punishment.
Early in the afternoon, police said in a media release that the missing boy had been recovered and is OK.
No further details were released.
