Missing Illinois Man's Truck Found In Northern Michigan

LAND O'LAKES, Wis. (AP) - The truck belonging to a missing Illinois man who has last seen leaving a motel in Wisconsin has been found in northern Michigan.

Seventy-one-year-old John Niesman of Homer Glen was last seen Saturday at the Bel Air Motel in Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin. A jogger discovered his white SUV in Gogebic County, Michigan, just over the Wisconsin border Wednesday night.

Family members say Niesman, who's known as "Wolverine Jack," goes on a hiking trip in Michigan's Upper Peninsula twice a year. They believe he's still in the woods and hope he'll be found.

Rangers are searching for Niesman but they're concerned for his safety because of falling temperatures.
