Missing 5-Year-Old Port Huron Boy Found Dead

PORT HURON (WWJ) -- Police confirm that a Port Huron boy who went missing early Friday was found dead.

5-year-old Derrick Holmon went missing around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. His parents contacted police after discovering him gone.  Throughout the day, police went door to door and then, not far from where he went missing, the little boy was found dead in a car.

Holmon had down syndrome and a heart condition. Police are still investigating and say it is too early to determine whether or not there was foul play involved. They are expected to release a full statement on the incident later tonight.
