Miguel Cabrera Tweets Out Photos Post-Surgery

One of Detroit's favorite athletes, Miguel Cabrera, just underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture to the navicular bone on his right foot.

On Tuesday afternoon Cabrera tweeted out a photo post-surgery.

Tigers issued a statement that Cabrera underwent the surgery on Oct. 22.

Cabrera's caption on the photo reads, roughly "...Thank God for giving me the strength to play (with a) fractured foot". (I confess, I used Google Translator for this ... he wrote it in Spanish).

Cabrera did manage to hit .313 with 25 home runs and 109 RBI. Not bad with a broken foot.

Reports were early on that Cabrera might not be ready for the start of the season. That's still unclear.
