Michigan's Second Chick-Fil-A Opens At Metro Airport

By Edward Cardenas

ROMULUS (CBS Detroit) - One of the most popular fast food chains in the country has opened a second location in Michigan, but customers can only get to it by plane.

Chick-fil-A opened Friday in the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport.

Passengers arriving and departing from the Metro can visit the new location near gate A-74 for the chain's famous breaded chicken sandwiches served on a buttered bun with dill pickle chips and waffle fries.

The privately-held company, which has over 1,900 locations in 42 states, previously only had one location in Michigan at Oakland University.

In addition to Chick-fil-A, a new Qdoba Mexican Grill also opened in the new food court in the terminal that will include a Pinkberry frozen yogurt location, and in the coming months, a player piano and an iPad-based tablet self-ordering stations.
