Michigan's Homecoming Game Vs. Illinois To Kickoff At 3:30 P.M.

ROSEMONT, Illinois -- The Big Ten Conference Office announced Wednesday (May 11) in conjunction with the institutions the game times for the 14 homecoming games across the league. The University of Michigan football team's homecoming game against the University of Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 22, has been selected for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Michigan Stadium. The television network for that game will be selected in the six- or 12-day window during the season.

Illinois will be Michigan's homecoming opponent for the 16th time in school history, second most of all opponents (Minnesota has been the most common opponent at 33). The Wolverines have tallied a 10-5 mark against the Illini at homecoming. U-M has compiled an 88-27 record in its previous 115 homecoming games (excluding four alumni exhibitions).

Homecoming Notes:
• Michigan boasts an impressive 89-28-2 overall mark at homecoming, which includes a 1-1-2 record in alumni exhibitions held during the 1897, 1898, 1899 and 1906 seasons.
• U-M has won five straight homecoming games.
• The Wolverines have claimed victories in 17 of their last 21 homecoming contests and 41 of their last 48 games dating back to 1968, the year prior to Bo Schembechler's arrival at Michigan.
• Schembechler went a perfect 21-0 at homecoming during his Michigan coaching career.
