Michigan Woman Doused In Rubbing Alcohol, Set On Fire

KALAMAZOO (WWJ/AP) - A 52-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was doused in rubbing alcohol and set on fire in their western Michigan home.

Kalamazoo police say the 44-year-old woman suffered burns about 2:15 a.m. Friday to her upper torso and face. She was listed in stable condition at an area hospital.

Police say the man and woman lived together and had argued before a fight started. The man fled the home, but was arrested a short time later.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, faces an assault with intent to murder charge.
