Michigan Mom To Stand Trial In Bedridden Daughter's Death

ONONDAGA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan woman will stand trial after authorities determined that her 16-year-old daughter, who was born with physical and mental disabilities, died of criminal neglect.

The Lansing State Journal reports  that 43-year-old Cari Ann Wright of Onondaga Township on Tuesday waived her right to a preliminary hearing.

Wright is charged with murder and child abuse in connection with her daughter's death.

Medical examiners determined that Hannah Warner died in November 2015 from neglect. The girl weighed only 43 pounds and her death was ruled a homicide.
