Michigan Matters: MEDC's Steve Arwood Reveals Optimistic Outlook For Economy

Steve Arwood, CEO of Michigan Economic Development Corporation, talked about improving economic conditions in Michigan and how 2017 is shaping up during taping of "Michigan Matters."

He appeared with Carol Cain, Senior Producer/Host of the CBS 62 show which airs this Sunday at 11:30 a.m., and talked about the importance of small business too.

Arwood is the person charged with bringing jobs and companies to the state and keeping others here.

Also appearing on the show was L. Brooks Patterson, Denise Ilitch and Charlie Beckham.

Patterson, who runs Oakland County, said he had asked his counsel to look at the possibility of filing a challenge to the Jill Stein recount effort to see if his county's residents can receive a refund for the costs of the pending recount.

Meanwhile, Beckham and Ilitch discussed the Detroit Pistons move to Motor City and advantages to the region.

Patterson said he thought The Palace would likely be torn down after the team leaves.
