'Michigan Matters' Focus: Of Tigers, Obama And The Road Ahead

(CBS Detroit) - Why didn't President Barack Obama attend the North American International Auto Show which just completed its annual run with over 803,000 visitors attending the iconic event at Cobo Center?

What's ahead for the one-percent sales tax increase being put forth before voters to help pay for improving the state's crumbling roads?

And what was Detroit Tigers' owner Mike Ilitch's reaction to news Max Scherzer was leaving after signing a huge deal with the Washington Nationals?

Those were some of the questions Rod Alberts, executive director of the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, Denise Ilitch, CEO of Ilitch Enterprises, and Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson were asked during taping of "Michigan Matters" which airs 11:30 a.m. Sunday on CBS 62.

The three leaders join Senior Producer/Host Carol Cain as they also discussed Kevyn Orr's impact on the city of Detroit after exiting as its Emergency Manager.
