'Michigan Matters' Focus: Of Ann Arbor Art Fair, French Connections And Sparky Anderson's Legacy

Nearly 500,000 people will descend on Ann Arbor for the annual summertime art fair being held this Wednesday through Saturday with artists, jurors, merchants and fun seekers from across the global migrating to see what's hot and what's in.

Karen Delhey, The Ann Arbor Art Fair, Don Kline, TheRide, Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, and Mary Kerr, President and CEO of the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau appeared with "Michigan Matters" host Carol Cain to talk about changes for the upcoming annual Art Fair in downtown Ann Arbor. Kerr said the event is one of the biggest for the city.

Then Cedric Ballarin, of Faurecia North America, appeared to talk about Bastille Day and growing ties between Detroit and France.

And Jim Hughes and Jim Berline, take time to talk about CATCH -- the organization started in 1987 by the late Detroit Tigers Manager Sparky Anderson. It raises money to help ailing kids across Detroit. The nonprofit has raised countless millions to help young people in need of help
