'Michigan Matters' Focus: High Powered CEO Panels Shares Thoughts On Motor City, Careers

It was a fast paced discussion about Detroit, the Grand Prix, careers and the role of women in business as three female CEOs took time out to appear on "Michigan Matters" to talk about it.

Beth Chappell, president and CEO of Detroit Economic Club, Andra Rush, founder of the Rush Trucking empire and other companies, and Sandy Pierce, vice chairman of FirstMerit Corp. and chairman and chief executive officer of FirstMerit Michigan, also told "Michigan Matters" senior producer and host Carol Cain about helping the Metro Detroit community.
They talked about the importance of events like the Belle Isle Chevy Grand Prix. Pierce's company is a corporate sponsor of this weekend's race.
