(CBS Detroit) - It was talk about the city's water department – which was recast as an authority as part of its bankruptcy – and a pending sales tax increase before voters to fix crumbling roads that got the region's top four elected officials up in arms during the Detroit Economic Club's annual luncheon.

Highlights of the conversation will be broadcast 11:30 am Sunday on CBS 62. The conversation was moderated by "Michigan Matters" Senior Producer/Host Carol Cain.

Held before a sold out audience of over 800 politicos and business leaders, the DEC event – held along with co-sponsors Detroit Auto Dealers Association and CBS 62 – saw the maiden appearance of Wayne County Executive Warren Evans.

He joined Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel on stage during the 6th annual confab held at the North American International Auto Show.

The foursome also talked about the 2016 presidential contest as well as their own political futures.

And they vetted how to help keep young people in Michigan versus bailing out for Chicago, New York, or greener pastures elsewhere.

Duggan discussed running the city in a post-Emergency Manager world while Evans talked about his vision for building two-way economic bridges to China.

Patterson discussed succession issues of top leaders in his administration.
