Michigan Man Dies After Jump From Moving Truck; Wife Held

ROTHBURY, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a man has died after jumping out of a moving pickup truck during a dispute while his wife was at the wheel in western Michigan.

The Oceana County sheriff's department says it responded about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday to a report of man along the side of the road in Rothbury.

The department says the 34-year-old Rothbury man was being treated when his wife drove up and said he was her husband and had jumped from the truck. Authorities say she indicated that they had left a party and he jumped out because he wanted to go back to the party.

The sheriff's department says both were intoxicated and the man died while being taken to a hospital. His 33-year-old wife was jailed, pending formal charges.
