Michigan Man Arraigned On Murder Charge In Mother's Slaying

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A 43-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder and assault with intent to murder in the slaying of his mother and attack on his father in Clare County.

Scott Pouillon of Owosso was arraigned Monday in 80th District Court in Harrison.

Police responding Sunday morning to a report of a possible assault found the body of 64-year-old Cheryl Pouillon in a Greenwood Township home. They say 65-year-old Donald Pouillon suffered possible stab wounds and is hospitalized.

Scott Pouillon was arrested later Sunday on U.S. 127 in Isabella County. He is being held on a $1.5 million bond. A preliminary examination is scheduled for March 30.

The Associated Press was unable Monday to determine if he has an attorney.
