Michigan House Approves Bill Prohibiting Drones For Hunting
LANSING (AP) - Michigan's House has approved two bills that would prohibit the use of drones by hunters and those seeking to interfere with hunting.
The House approved the bills unanimously Wednesday. Violation of the proposed law would be a misdemeanor and could bring jail time and fines.
The bills now head to the Senate for final approval before going to Gov. Rick Snyder for his signature.
Snyder vetoed a bill preventing the use of drones to harass hunters in January. He said then that he wanted a bill prohibiting drones for hunting to reach his desk at the same time.
That part of the package died in the House during the lame-duck session in December, though.
