Michigan Football Wishes Jim Harbaugh Happy Birthday

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Michigan Football took to social media Tuesday to wish one of their high-profile alumni - and possible future coach - a happy birthday.

Former Michigan quarterback Jim Harbaugh turns 51 Tuesday, and to mark the day, Michigan Football wished him a happy birthday on team's Facebook and Twitter pages.

 

Just 30 minutes after the wish was Tweeted out, it had 1,700 retweets and 1,100 favorites. The Facebook post at more than 10,000 likes and 1,300 shares.

Harbaugh, who was the Michigan quarterback between 1983-1986, is currently the coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

But since the university fired  Brady Hoke, he has been discussed as possibly the next football coach for Michigan. He reportedly has been offered a contract in the neighborhood of six years for $48 million.
