Fans In Ann Arbor Fight, Burn Couches After Heartbreaking Loss To Rival Spartans [PHOTOS]

ANN ARBOR (CBS Detroit) -- Disbelief turned to anger and frustration in Ann Arbor on Saturday night after the Michigan Wolverines lost in the worst of ways to rival Michigan State.

There were reports of some small incidents of drunken fistfights and other disorderly conduct, following Michigan State's thrilling 27-23 win over Michigan, but no major incidents.

"We had three very small fires in nearby streets with perhaps a piece of furniture or maybe some other rubbish that was burned," University of Michigan public information officer Diane Brown said. "The fire department was able to extinguish those fires in a short amount of time with no injuries and no damage other than what that piece of furniture or property was."

The Michigan Daily, the campus newspaper, reports via Twitter that at least one couch fire has the attention of the Ann Arbor fire department.
