Men Get 14-30 Years For Rape In Detroit Apartment

DETROIT (AP) - Two men have been sentenced to 14 to 30 years for raping a woman at a Detroit apartment complex shortly before an unsolved fire destroyed the building.

A Wayne County circuit judge on Thursday morning sentenced Carlos Love for first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Co-defendant Dantraz Oliver-McClung received the same sentence later in the day.

The victim says she was raped March 5 at the Jason Manor Apartments on the city's west side. A few hours after the attack, someone set fire to the building.

The fire forced some adults and children to leap from second- and third-floor windows. At least four people were hospitalized.
