Members Of Michigan Lottery's Rewards Program Must Update Information

LANSING (AP) - The Michigan Lottery says those who use its free Players Club rewards program must update accounts with information that will be used to verify their age and identity.

The lottery says Players Club members have until Aug. 3 to update accounts by entering the last four digits of their Social Security numbers.

Accounts not updated by that date will be removed from the Players Club system.

Officials say entering the required information will allow the lottery to provide enhanced security. Those who update their accounts also will be able to play the lottery's online games.

The Players Club allows lottery players to accumulate reward points. Members may redeem points for entries into drawings for prizes, merchandise and coupons.
